About Hapinam

Hapinam is a Vietnam nightlife information site run by a Japanese resident of Ho Chi Minh City.

Much of the Vietnam nightlife information you find online has outdated prices and opening hours. I started this site because, as someone who lives here, I want to deliver the latest information so that as many Japanese visitors as possible can enjoy Vietnam's nights and take home good memories.

Operator

• 3rd year living in Ho Chi Minh City (as of 2026)
• Working as an expat, running the local subsidiary of a Japanese company
• Writes about choosing venues and what to watch out for from the point of view of Japanese visitors on business trips and holidays

Our editorial and listing policy

• Paid visits:The operator visits every listed venue in person with his own money
• The good and the bad:Venues where we had trouble, such as being overcharged, are also listed with the details. By describing exactly what happened, we hope fewer people go through the same thing
• Ratings are based on the operator's own experience:The "Our rating" on each venue page reflects the operator's personal experience

Keeping information up to date

• Prices and opening hours are checked and updated roughly once a year
• Each page shows the date its information was last updated ("as of [date]"). Local prices change often, so we recommend checking with the venue before you go
• If you notice any errors or changes, we'd be grateful if you let us know through the contact form

Advertising and partnerships

At present (as of October 2026), we receive no listing fees, referral fees or other payment from venues. If we publish advertising or partner content in the future, we will clearly say so on the page.
