Can I use a credit card?

It depends on the venue and what you're paying for. Many VIP massage venues (for the ticket) and Japanese-run KTV and girls' bars accept credit cards, but tips, local bars and street taxis are basically cash only. 2 of our 5 listed venues accept credit cards (see "Payment" on each venue page). Cards may carry a 3–5% surcharge, and JCB or AMEX are sometimes not accepted, so carrying two cards such as VISA and Mastercard is safest.
